blockdevices.php

This script reads the model and serial number for each block device of type disk. It can also update and compare the local values with values saved inside a connected graph. Target node- and 'graph connection'- data needs to be provided through config.ini.

Usage:

blockdevices.php <action>

Parameters:

• action the action to perform
  • report/-r: output the local values for each device
  • reportGraph/-rg: output local values and matching number from graph
  • compare/-c: output local and graph values for each device
  • update/-u: read local values and adjust the graph values for each device
  • graph/-g: output the data of all devices that should be inside the local machine

Side note: We use this script to keep track of where we put which hard drive that we bought. Make sure that the ca and crt file authorize the machine to connect to the graph.
